The Mac has a November appointment, Minecraft has an upgrade deadline, and HUNTR/X has finally cleared the dance floor of demons. The dinosaurs, unfortunately, have been working on their movement.
the mac has an opening on november 6
Apple announced a 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 today, alongside an M6 update for the 24-inch iMac. Both open for preorder October 28 and arrive November 6; Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 are among the connectivity updates. This is a separate announcement from yesterday’s iPad mini, because apparently the upgrade calendar needed another column.
Apple’s short Cinema 4D demonstration below shows the kind of 3D animation work it is pitching the MacBook Pro for. It is a product demonstration, not an independent performance test.
the blocks have better lighting and some paperwork
Minecraft’s native Nintendo Switch 2 edition is available today, bringing Vibrant Visuals and the Super Mario Mash-Up pack along. In the U.S., existing digital owners of the Switch version can claim the Standard Edition upgrade free through January 31, 2027, at 9 a.m. Pacific; physical-copy owners have a separate discounted Ultimate Edition offer, not the same free upgrade. Vibrant Visuals also has exclusions, including split-screen, so the prettier sunset comes with a small reading assignment.

huntr/x has booked the rehearsal room
Netflix has unveiled official full-length KPop Demon Hunters choreography, starting with an animated “How It’s Done” rehearsal featuring Rumi, Mira and Zoey. More routines are rolling out this week, with the film’s original choreographers also performing and explaining the moves. The useful distinction from another music-video rewatch: this time the formations are the point, rather than something happening between demon attacks.

the dinosaurs have learned parkour
In today’s developer breakdown of Terrible Lizards, WDR Studios explains how its October 29 horror game combines first-person platforming with a very bad stop at a Route 66 dinosaur attraction. Wall-running, sliding and ledge-grabbing are central to getting through its early-1990s roadside nightmare. A broken-down car is already inconvenient; requiring an obstacle course before roadside assistance feels excessive.
