visionquest’s robots would rather talk about feelings

Vision tips his gray fedora on a cobblestone path in a surreal manicured park.

Spoilers through episode 4 in the linked interview. Read Katie Campione’s October 23 cast interview at Deadline.

The robots have been invited to an AI panel, but they would rather discuss their feelings. The VisionQuest cast and showrunner spend this interview on humanity, grief and connection rather than a forecast of our technological future.

Paul Bettany talks about the value of human inefficiency; James Spader and Emily Hampshire keep returning to what their characters can learn from people. The family tree already needs a whiteboard. The emotional homework is a separate assignment.
