we have officially reached the stage of modern internet culture where if a young indie band is actually good, charismatic, and knows how to use social media, people immediately assume they were manufactured in a secret underground pentagon laboratory

the discourse around geese being an “industry plant” vs just engaging in chaotic good marketing is proof that our collective brains have been fried by algorithm paranoia. when did being inventive and having fun with promotional campaigns become suspicious?? if turning album promotion into surreal, chaotic art keeps rock music interesting, we need more of it, tbh
