**what to watch tonight · friday, october 30**

A manhunt on the clock, a comedy reunion on demand, and a couple attempting the
advanced relationship skill of sharing a kitchen. Halloween can have tomorrow. Tonight
has options.

This is a short US watchlist, not an assignment. Broadcast times are **Eastern/Central**;
the streaming picks can fit around them.

## 8/7c: sheriff country has family business

**New tonight on CBS. Paramount+ Premium carries the live broadcast; next-day streaming
follows tomorrow.**

In “Maria,” Morena Baccarin’s Sheriff Mickey Fox faces an escalating manhunt and
old family wounds. _Fire Country_’s Jordan Calloway guest-stars. The appeal is a
defined hour of procedural trouble: a case, a clock and someone whose job is to
ask the uncomfortable question.

Pick this if you want the television to make the scheduling decision. [Watch and catch up on CBS](https://www.cbs.com/shows/sheriff-country/)·

## new today: sctv has the receipts

**Netflix · SCTV: The Greatest Show You’ve Never Heard Of.** A new documentary,
not a new season of the sketch series.

Jason Hehir’s film revisits the Canadian comedy institution through cast interviews,
archival material and a Toronto reunion. Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Rick Moranis
and Martin Short are among the familiar faces. The title is doing a bit; if you
have heard of _SCTV_, you are still allowed in.

This is the movie-length alternative to another episode queue: how a group made
something funny together, and what lasted. [Watch the documentary on Netflix](https://www.netflix.com/title/82059675)·

## catch up: nobody wants this has cupboard negotiations

**Already streaming on Netflix · season 3.** Catch-up, not a Friday premiere; the
season arrived October 22.

Joanne and Noah are moving in together. Kristen Bell and Adam Brody supply the romantic
chemistry; domestic logistics supply the next round of questions. A useful lighter
option if tonight does not require a manhunt. Sharing a home already provides several
opportunities to discover that somebody has a system.
